I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.

Don’t eat anything that has a marketing department. If you’ve seen it on TV, in an advertisement in a magazine, or represented by a B-list celebrity face, there is a good chance it can’t be good for you.Shop the periphery of the supermarket. Most grocery stores are organized in the same way: vegetables on the right, meat at the back, eggs and fresh juice on the left. The nonperishable stuff is in the center. Don’t go into the center for anything. This food won’t die, so there’s a good chance it will kill you (or just make you fat.)Don’t eat anything that won’t spoil. Canned junk, microwavable dinners, bread in a can, cheese in a can — the list is endless. Don’t eat anything that won’t go bad.Set aside a significant amount of time for eating and shopping. One of the biggest concerns I hear from people is that they don’t have time to eat. I think it’s important to dedicate a significant amount of time to shopping for groceries as well as eating. Shop as often as possible, and give yourself time to meander through the store. Check which vegetables are fresh, and which aren’t. Think about what you’re making for dinner while you’re at the store. I enjoy shopping every day, but I live in Brooklyn, where I’m half a block from a grocery store. This isn’t as possible everywhere in America. Give yourself an hour to cook breakfast and dinner every day. If you create food you enjoy, you’ll eat less of it and appreciate it more.Eat mostly fresh vegetables. There are so many great vegetables at the market. Vegetables are cheap, they’re nutritious, and best of all we’ve been eating them for millions of years, so we know how to digest them properly. I make 80 percent of my meals from fresh vegetables. I suggest trying it. My favorite vegetable right now is kale. It’s inexpensive and full of nutrition. I usually combine it with portobello mushrooms, onions and a couple of other veggies to form many delicious dishes.Always sit down at a table and enjoy your food. Too many people are rushing around this world eating in their cars or at their desks. Make time to enjoy your food. Sit at the kitchen table before you go to work in the morning. Sit down at the table and eat with your family at night. You will enjoy your food more, eat more healthfully and catch up with your family.I’m sorry, ‘bread in a can’? Why would you do that? How could this possibly be something you’d want to do to bread? I had to ask google about it, and found this and this. I’m so confused. You can’t put stuff like that in your body!
